Sky Sports The Open will show over 80 hours of live coverage from the iconic Old Course at St Andrews between 14 and 17 July, more than ever before, with live programming on all seven days of the tournament week and a host of bonus extra features available to enjoy everything.

Live coverage of the opening two rounds will begin at 6.30am – before kick-off – and continue until the end of play, with wall-to-wall live coverage from 9am on Saturday and 8am for the final round on Sunday.

There will be plenty of extra action across all four days via Sky Sports The Open Red Button, along with Sky Q and Sky Glass, with groups available and selected holes to enjoy as the world’s best players battle it out with the Home of golf.

Two selected groups will take part in each half of the draw across all four days, while Featured Holes tackle the 11th, 12th and 13th, with both feeds available to Sky Sports customers on the Sky website and app Sports.

What about before the tournament starts?

Sky Sports’ special ‘Live from The Open Zone’ will offer extended news, interviews and storylines for several hours each day in the build-up to the tournament, with this broadcast live from 1pm on Monday and at midday for the next two days.

Live from The Range will also go behind the scenes in Scotland as the players prepare for their week, with Sky Sports The Open covering the three practice days, before switching to the red button and Sky Sports Golf’s YouTube channel during the four tournament days.

There will be a special four-hole Champions’ Challenge at St Andrews on Monday afternoon, featuring former Open winners plus major women’s champions and other stars of the sport, while Sky Sports The Open will also show live coverage of the final practice round on Wednesday afternoon before the tournament starting a day later.
