Call all start-ups – Open applications for start-up exhibitors

The North American International Auto Show (also known as the Detroit Auto Show) is pleased to announce that applications are already open for technology startups to exhibit at the upcoming auto show this fall. Startup Exhibition will be located in AutoMobili-D, the technology showcase, which is located on the main exhibition floor during the Media and Industrial Technology Days, September 14 – 15, 2022.

Presented by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the Michigan Office for Future Mobility and Electrification, AutoMobili-D includes more than 80 technology companies, including the latest vehicle innovations from Tier 1 suppliers, universities and a start-up mobility community.

Start-up companies must meet specific criteria in order to be selected to participate in this exhibition area with reduced fees. Criteria include revenue of less than $ 10 million, a list of employees under 100, investment thresholds and business duration. The application and requirements can be found here.

“Startups are a very exciting part of the show, giving guest media and the mobility industry a brief look at the vehicle technology of the future,” said Rod Alberts, executive director of the Detroit Auto Show. “It is not uncommon for an innovative startup in our show to find a business and even be acquired by a larger company.
