LAKITA, CALDWELL’S WORLD PREMIERE CHLOE’S BEAUTIFUL BLUES FROM A BOOK SHE WROTE THAT CELEBRATES THE BEAUTY IN ALL OF US. ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 12TH BROWNSVILLE ARTS EN. Produces the world premiere of Milwaukee Voices of Violence with Arms, which really celebrates the survival of the survival of the beauty of our wonderful people who have experienced violence with weapons and continued to react and produce movements that make difference in our society, which is our community, which is FOLLOWED BY HEALING, CIRCLE PERFORMANCES AT 1 HOUR AND I’M 7:30 SHOCK CELL HER HIDDEN FIGURES WHICH IS INSPIRED BY HIDDEN HEROES. The Milwaukee Black Theater Festival runs August 10-14

The Black Theater Festival returns to Milwaukee next week. The week-long celebration of black arts and culture has numerous free events for the public to enjoy, as well as the fundraising concert. This year’s theme is “The Black Family: The Generations Speak!” Prior to the festival, Black Arts MKE Senior Artistic Associate Sherry Williams Pannell spoke about why the 2022 festival will be Milwaukee’s largest black theater festival to date. The Black Theater Festival returns to Milwaukee next week.

The week-long celebration of black arts and culture features numerous free events for the public to enjoy, as well as the fundraising concert.
