The Associate of Science in Applied Science in Business Administration (AAS) is accredited by the Association of University Business School Programs (ACBSP).

This program is partially portable to an online bachelor’s degree in applied arts and science from the University of Eastern New Mexico. It is also partially portable to the University of New Mexico and the University of New Mexico Highlands.

CNM’s School of Business and Information Technology offers a degree in Business Administration (AAS) in Business Administration that you can earn in less than two years.

The program is designed and taught by highly qualified teachers from the School of Business and Information Technology, who also have experience in the industry. This program is designed with working professionals in mind, whose days require their time and attention to work, family and other responsibilities.

Classes in this program are offered in 7-week blocks: two blocks per semester and one summer block from 7 to 12 weeks. This accelerated approach to achieving your degree is facilitated by conducting evening and online lessons.

Please note: The Fast Track program for the autumn of 2022 will hold two hours a week in person. If there are changes to the schedule that need to be made due to COVID-19, the program will contact students to notify them.

Expenses

The cost of training for the Fast-Track Business Administration program is $ 8,999.00. This is a fixed fee that fully covers the duration of the program.

Financial help

Fill out the Free Student Aid Application (FAFSA) and contact the CNM Financial Assistance Advisor. We accept all forms of federal and state financial aid, including a Pell grant and student loans. We also accept the following payment methods:

Admission and application requirements

  1. Apply to CNM
    Send official transcripts of any previous colleges you may have attended.
  2. Take the Accuplacer test for a suitable place for college-level courses.
    If you have taken Accuplacer in the last five years, these results can be taken into account for accurate placement. Accuplacer exams can be taken at any CNM assessment center.
    • Requirement for reading and writing
      • Read score = 257 or higher OR WritePlacer score = 6 or higher
    • Mathematics requirement
      • Quantitative reasoning score = 234 or higher OR Arithmetic score = 264 or higher
  3. Attach to the Fast-Track BA program
    You must submit this separate online application along with a personal statement from the participant.

The participation essay is used in part to determine eligibility for admission to the program. You should discuss your experience, current work experience and goals (things that motivate you to participate in this accelerated program) in the format of an essay paragraph.

Information sessions

we strongly encourage attend an information session to learn more or ask questions about the structure of the program, the application process, financial aid, or any other questions you may have. Sessions are usually held on Tuesday noon and Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Curriculum

Classes are held two evenings a week from 5:30 pm to 8:20 pm and also include online work. For the fall of 2022, we will have two live classes in person (face to face) and one class will be online. Both personal and online classes are a must for the program.

According to CNM’s Covid-19 policy, all students must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. If you have an approved exemption, you must take and pass a weekly COVID-19 test (the weekly COVID-19 test must be taken within seven days of the previous test).
