Don’t like to exercise? Blink Fitness wants to help by offering free hypnosis

Gymnosis™ campaign designed to change mindsets and increase exercise motivation through hypnosis sessions

NEW YORK, August 17, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Don’t like working out? Blink Fitness wants to change that. A gym that prioritizes Mood Above Muscle® goes the extra mile to offer a unique technique used by celebrities and athletes proven to be successful in helping people overcome the mental obstacles that hold them back.

Starting September 12Blink Fitness presents Gymnosis™ – a series of for free in the gym and virtual hypnosis sessions to help people get motivated and stay motivated to exercise. Anyone, current Blink member or not, can try a Gymnosis™ session to overcome exercise aversion and see how changing their mindset can help transform their life.

“Logic, reasoning and willpower are not always enough to convince us to exercise,” said Carolyn Barnes, a certified clinical hypnotherapist and wellness expert who will lead the virtual hypno sessions. “Hypnosis is a purely natural state that can offer direct access to the subconscious, where our learned systems for creating patterns of behavior reside. By accessing the subconscious, we can begin to flip the default switch from old patterns that don’t serve us to new ones that do.”

Barnes added that 90 percent of brain activity is subconscious. When stress and emotions are not properly managed, we can easily fall into old behaviors and beliefs that were previously programmed into our subconscious. However, hypnosis creates a deeper state of relaxation and allows people to use the power of the subconscious to bring about positive change.

According to a recent research conducted by teachers and students from the Department of Psychology at University of Minnesotathe events of the past two years have also led to an increase in the number of people struggling with “brain fog” – a decline in mental clarity, focus and motivation.

For a limited time, Blink Fitness will offer free gym sessions both in person at Blink’s Park Slope location at Brooklyn, New York and in practice in the US from September 12-18, 2022. Several sessions will be held each day for anyone interested, with each session lasting approximately 45 minutes. Sessions will be held in a group setting with approximately 10-30 people per session. Registration is required for Gymnosis™ sessions and space is limited. Interested participants who would like to sign up for a free Gymnosis session can learn more at Restrictions apply.*

“Commitment to exercise and health requires personal motivation,” said Todd Magazine, CEO of Blink Fitness. “Getting that motivation can be difficult. At Blink, we want to give people as many tools as possible to achieve their fitness goals, and we’re excited to offer this free Gymnosis™ hypnotherapy service in the hopes that it helps people find the motivation to start working out.”
