For the online fitness platform

While any way you move your body is better than no movement at all, it can be difficult to find a workout—or exercise program—that works specifically for you and your fitness goals.

Personally, I’ve been there, and while I’m not trying to diet or lose a certain number of pounds, I feel at ease when (1) there’s consistency in my routine, (2) the workout isn’t too intense, and (3) I feel good both during and after movement.

Although I’ve been using the P.volve platform for less than a month (so far), it has already changed the way I train for the better. It makes me excited to work out, tone my body and get better.

As a former dancer and lover of all things cardio, HIIT and pilates, I have always focused on mobility focused workouts and ones where I would tone up, maybe do some light weight training and see results over time. I’ve never been into non-stop 40-minute workouts where I’d find myself exhausted, tired, and sore the next day.

What is P.volve? How it works?

P. turn

P.volve is an online fitness program – which also has an in-person studio in New York – that combines low-impact, functional movement and specially designed fitness equipment to effectively tone, sculpt and strengthen.

“Unlike a lot of our competition, we really prioritize body functions along with the physical results you might see,” Rachel Katzman, founder of P.volve, told the New York Post. “Our training method is designed with the female body in mind and that means we can really support them at all stages of their lives – because women’s bodies are constantly changing and need different things.”

If you’re looking for a lifted butt, more sculpted arms and a more defined stomach, P.volve is the perfect platform for you. How it works? Once on the platform, you can choose plans or take lessons independently.

P.volve is on a mission to change the conversation around fitness. For so long women have been taught that pain equals mentality and that looking good comes at the expense of feeling good. I started P.volve to teach women at all stages of their lives that this is not the case and that they can achieve the physical results they have dreamed of and I feel good too.

Fitness classes go hand in hand with equipment and P.volve offers several a la carte options and packages. I used the Essentials Kit, which is $30 off for all New York Post readers with the promo code NEW PUBLICATION30which is automatically applied when you use the link below.

How much does P.volve cost? Pricing, Membership, and more

P.volve offers monthly or annual memberships, with the annual price being the best option, which comes out to $8 per month. Its curated gear sets are also available with a three-month digital membership.

“All memberships include access to our robust on-demand library, live classes powered by Zoom, and a free instructor consultation,” adds Katzman. “We also have memberships at our studios (currently open in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, with many more cities coming next year!) where members have unlimited hybrid access to the P.volve method.” That includes unlimited classes at the studio level, access to the brand’s library on demand and live virtual classes and first access to studio events and launches.

For a program that will redefine the way you train, I believe that’s a fair price. It’s like having a personal trainer with you every step of the way, as each online workout is guided and uses the equipment in a way that will work best for you.

P.volve Advantages

I could talk for hours about the benefits of P.volve, but I would boil the fitness platform down to a few key points.

P.volve has a variety of class options

The bread and butter of what makes the brand unique is its versatile fitness class options: strength and sculpting, cardio burn, progressive weight training, and recovery and stretching:

  • Strength and sculpture: This is the typical P.volve workout that combines controlled sculpting exercises with resistance training to strengthen and tone the entire body. It includes both standing and mat work and people will engage every muscle while improving balance and mobility, leaving them feeling stronger and more energetic.
  • Cardio I’m burning: This is a low-impact cardio class that gets your heart rate up with increased reps, a faster pace, and planks and jumps throughout. Once they understand the foundation of Strength & Sculpt, people will master proper form as they move through these faster classes.
  • Progressive weight training: This is one of the latest offerings in the P.volve class launched in the last year. This is a full-body strength training class designed to overload muscles while using heavier weights to build lean muscle and avoid plateaus. It’s so important to incorporate heavy weights, especially as a woman, as women naturally lose muscle mass and bone density as they age. Heavy weights also increase metabolism and are great to incorporate if weight loss is a goal.
  • Recovery and stretching: The P.volve methodology prioritizes proper recovery to ensure that muscles are not overworked. Recovery is so important to really get the best results. These classes are designed to relax muscles and relieve stress in the body using restorative techniques and stretching exercises. They increase mobility and help lengthen muscles, as well as bring a sense of calmness to the mind and body.

In addition, P.volve offers a category of programs called Movement Therapy that are tailored to physiology, age and goals. They include the brand’s workouts aimed at women’s health and target specific needs — like back strengthening and hip release — to feel good.

P.volve prioritizes human function and the female body

Unique to P.volve, the brand has a focus on women, which is great important for me. Having never had a personal trainer, something I’ve always been curious about is how to work out efficiently during my time of the month (TMI, but it’s a question we all inevitably ask ourselves at some point).

What’s more, P.volve has developed programs to support all these stages of the pelvic floor, endometriosis, menstrual cycle, infertility treatment, pre- and postnatal and menopause. “We also have programs that can help with certain pain points that someone may be experiencing, such as back pain, hip pain, ankle pain, wrist pain, and more,” she adds.

The equipment is specially designed to support your training

Sure, you can pick up a pair of dumbbells and resistance bands from Amazon, but P.volve’s gear—specifically its Essentials Kit—is unmatched when paired with the brand’s mission classes.

“Like our methodology, our equipment is also purpose-built to give women the results they’ve always wanted,” notes Katzman. “We have three pieces of proprietary equipment, our P.ball, and P.3 Trainer, that are unlike anything you’ve ever seen on the market. All of them are designed with such precision to activate muscles (both large and small), supporting muscles that other pieces of equipment and training do not engage.”

Review of P.volve

Review of P.volve
I took a 45 minute class with P.volve’s lead trainer, Maeve McEwen, and it was great to learn about proper form and how to properly train my lower body.
Victoria Giardina

My first experience with P.volve, which led me to my membership, was a 45 minute personal training session with Maeve McEwen at P.volve. Not only were all the movements focused on strength and mobility, but she corrected my form during our lower body workout and explained how training focused on the human form is beneficial to P.volve’s range of offerings.

Although I didn’t have my Essentials Kit with me during this session, I noticed a huge difference when my kit came in the mail and I started taking online fitness classes. All the parts are made with excellent quality and I could feel them toning and strengthening my body during the course!

As for my favorite classes, I really enjoyed the Standing Full Body Sculpt, Full Body Mobility, and Hip and Low Back Opening (the latter especially helpful for my “dancer’s hips” which, if not is taken into account, can lead to injury The fact that P.volve has classes serving specific biological and personal needs is exceptional.

I’m also a big fan of P.volve’s progressive weight training catalog. I regularly do upper and lower body workouts as it adds a little more height to the daily sculpting.
