In his new role, Manning will be responsible for building a new broker-dealer to support the development, positioning and dissemination of real estate investment strategies to wealth advisers across the financial services industry, including independent registered brokers. investment advisors and institutional channels, while managing critical relationships between senior broker and dealer and analyzing competitors.
Manning has more than 30 years of experience in the Forum’s financial services industry, with diverse experience in retail and operations, wholesale and team building. Most recently, Manning was CEO of Pacific Oak Capital Markets, where he helped shape the company’s strategy and launched his first DST product line. He also acquired two of the multifamily assets in the Pacific Oak Opportunity Zone. He also played an important role in the acquisition of the public company REVN in the Pacific Oak Strategic Opportunity REIT.
Prior to Pacific Oak, Manning was the CEO of KBS Capital Market Group, a leading real estate company. During his tenure at KBS, the company rose $ 6.5 billion of capital. Prior to KBS, he held several leadership roles in Travelers / MetLife, MFS / Sun Life, MassMutual and Northwestern Mutual Life.
Manning received his bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado Boulder, where he served as a member of the International Advisory Board of the CU Real Estate Program, which provides advice, curriculum advice, mentoring, and industry insights to the next generation of innovative community leaders. It holds its FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
