Healthfirst hosts the Bronx Health and Wellness Show

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS CHP) – Healthfirst is excited to return its Health & Wellness Expo to the Bronx on Saturday, June 11, 2022 (rain or shine), at Claremont, 489 E 169th Street.

The expo, which is free and open to the public, is an ideal opportunity for the community to learn about disease management, prevention and lifestyle change, while engaging in family-friendly activities. New to the Expo are wellness workshops and an indoor medical pavilion.

The day starts with breakfast at the town hall –Shaping a brighter future for the health of black and brown women– 10:00 to 11:30 Coach Jesse Thompson, CEO, TheDeToxNow.comwill moderate this empowering event, which will explore topics such as racial and women’s health differences and maternal health and will include a powerful list of speakers that includes Erol Pierre, Senior Vice President of Government Programs, Healthfirst; Dr. Sofia Lubin, DO, FACOG, Maimonides Medical Center; Keneka Boyce, PhD, LMSW, Founder, Many Paths to Success; and Bruce McIntyre III, Bronx Maternal Health Council / founder of saveArose. The expo will run from noon to 5 pm and includes Wellness workshops led by industry experts covering topics such as pediatric asthma, nutrition, emotional well-being and women’s health; The medical pavilion providing free medical examinations; Fitness area conducting interactive workouts with fitness instructors; a Spa area with men’s barber shop, manicure and facials; The children’s area including music and games such as baseball, football, climbing wall and video games; and The main scene featuring live entertainment throughout the day, including Trusol, Petawane and IMG Ft. Parcero.
