JASON GARRETT JOINS FOOTBALL EVENING IN AMERICA

Football night It starts every Sunday during the NFL season at 19:00 ET on NBC and Peacock

STAMFORD, Connecticut – June 14, 2022 – Jason Garrett joins Football night in America as an analyst, NBC Sports announced today. Football night is the most watched studio show in sports, preceding show number 1 on prime time television Sunday Night Football every week during the NFL season on NBC and Peacock.

Garrett, former NFL quarterback and Dallas head coach Cowboys, will work with host Maria Taylor and analyzers Tony Dungi and Chris Sims at Studio 1 at the NBC Sports International Broadcasting Center in Stamford, Connecticut. Co-host Jack Collinsworth and analyzer Rodney Harrison it will anchor again FNIA coverage of the game site while NFL Insider Mike Florio will continue to announce the news of the day.

As head coach of the Cowboys for nine seasons, Garrett won three titles in the division, Associated Press Coach of the Year for 2016 and set a record for the regular season 85-67 (.559), the second most successful head coach in the history of the team. He began his coaching career as a quarterback Miami Dolphins coach Nick Saban. He also served as an offensive coordinator for both the Cowboys and the New York Giants.

Prior to coaching, Garrett had a 14-year career in the NFL with the Cowboys, Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dolphins and the New Orleans Saints, primarily as a reserve defender. He was part of three teams that won the Super Bowl with the Cowboys in 1992, 1993 and 1995, and was a member of the NFC Champion Giants in 2000.

NBC Sports also announced today Matt Casey as a leading producer of Football night. Casey has been working on FNIA in various capacities for 14 years, most recently as a co-producer. He also co-produced the show before NBC Sports’ February Super Bowl LVI.

Emmy nominee Football night kicks off at 7pm ET each week during the NFL and Peacock NFL regular season and provides highlights and analysis of afternoon games, interviews with senior players and coaches, breaking news insights and extensive previews tonight Sunday night football coincides.

Since its inception in 2006. Football night is the most watched studio show in sports. In 2021, the program had an average of 7.1 million viewers, which is 18% more than the previous season. In addition, the portion from 8:00 to 20:23 ET from Football night in America (including pre-hit coverage), an average of 11.9 million viewers and a rating of 3.3 among Adults aged 18 to 49, which will rank 4th among regularly scheduled prime-time shows in the demographic group.
