Joplin Health Department Food Inspections (August 8) | Local news

The Joplin Globe publishes summaries of routine and follow-up inspections performed by the Joplin Health Department. Businesses that are inspected either pass or fail based on violations found during the inspection. These violations fall into two categories:

• Priority violations are more serious and relate to improper handling, storage and preparation of food. The globe lists the number and summary of each violation.

• Major violations are minor and relate to equipment, maintenance and general cleanliness. The Globe published only the number.

A failed inspection may result in different fixes based on the types of violations found. Complete copies of each report are available from the Joplin Health Department.
