RADNOR, Pa .– (BUSINESS CHP) – Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE: LNC) has appointed Amber Williams, CFA, Senior Vice President and Head of Client Investment Strategies, to lead corporate sustainability as Chief Executive Officer, Lincoln announced today.

Williams’ increased responsibilities come as the Investment and Risk Organization welcomes sustainability within its reach, a move that aligns Lincoln’s structure with its long-term strategic business plan, led by newly appointed CEO Ellen Cooper.

In his new expanded role, Williams will be responsible for overseeing Lincoln’s efforts and disclosures in the field of environment, social and governance (ESG), directing the continuous improvement of the environmental impact of the company’s operations, advocating and supporting the integration of priorities. of ESG in business areas and promote sustainability thinking throughout the enterprise.

She and her team are responsible for creating a differentiated mental leadership program that maximizes the value of the unique platform for many Lincoln managers.

Prior to Lincoln, Williams spent much of his career at the Nationwide Investment Management Group in various roles in investment product management and advisory roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, she was Head of Product Management, where she was responsible for building and leading a team dedicated to strengthening the quality of investment support for internal partners and financial advisers in Nationwide’s investment products, stimulating fund-related initiatives and leading regulatory initiatives.

Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix, is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia, and holds licenses for Series 6, Series 7, and Series 24 securities.
