Mean Green Soccer 2022 schedule

DENTON – The most successful women’s soccer program at the US Conference announced its schedule for 2022 on Wednesday in what will be its last season in the league.

Mean Green, who won a record eight conference trophies, kicked off this year’s campaign on August 18 with a home game against Abilene Christian.

UNT’s plan outside the conference was highlighted with home games against Oklahoma on Sept. 1 and Texas Tech on Sept. 11. Between these two home games, Mean Green will travel to SMU in Dallas on September 8 to face his upcoming American Athletic Friend conference. This will be the first meeting since 2011 of the two schools in Metroplex. UNT won the last match 2-1.

Season 2022 will be North Texas’ 28th season as a program, all led by a head coach John Hedlund who enters the year with 373 career wins. He is the nation’s 11th largest active head coach. He is one of only two current head coaches with over 20 years of experience who have never lost a season – Anson Dorance of North Carolina is the other.

In the previous 27 seasons, UNT has won a total of 16 conference championships. They will begin the journey to what they hope to be number 17 on September 15 with a home game against Charlotte.

The schedule of the C-USA conference for 2022 is only 10 matches in total. Together with Charlotte, UNT hosts the Florida Atlantic (September 18), UAB (October 2), UTSA (October 16) and will end the regular season with a home game against Louisiana Tech (October 29).

The 2022 Conference USA will be hosted by Charlotte.

Ten of Mean Green’s 11 home football matches will be broadcast on ESPN +.

Tickets will be available in August. The Olympic Sports Pass will give access to UNT Soccer, Volleyball and Softball. Regular Olympic sports passes are $ 75, and reserved Olympic sports passes, which are the section for the back of the football chair, are $ 125. The price for a single match is $ 15 for adults and $ 5 for juniors in the reserved and $ 10 for adults and $ 5 for juniors in general admission.
