New Mercy Health Program Helps Address Feminine Hygiene Needs | News

Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital is launching a new program that health care providers hope will help local girls and young women learn about and manage their menstrual cycles by providing feminine hygiene products and educational materials to those who need them.

Mercy Health Foundation-Lourdes has awarded a grant to Mercy Health Paducah Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) through Mission Outreach Program funds to create 1,000 menstrual starter kits. Each kit contains approximately three months’ worth of feminine hygiene products, including pads, sanitary napkins, tampons, a detailed kit brochure and other toiletries.
