Odds, Lines, Picks, Spreads, Best Bets, Predictions for Week 3, 2022: Bengals, Seahawks Model Picks

There were a dozen games in the first two weeks of the 2022 NFL schedule that were decided by three points or less. Las Vegas expects that total to only grow as there are eight games in the Caesars Sportsbook that have NFL Week 3 spreads of three points or less. The smallest NFL odds belong to the 49ers vs. Broncos, who have the Niners as 1.5-point favorites in the latest NFL Vegas Week 3 odds. This game started with Denver as a 3-point favorite, only swinging in the Niners’ favor after Trey Lance (ankle) was ruled out for the season and Jimmy Garoppolo replaced him at quarterback. All NFL Week 3 lines are listed below, and SportsLine’s advanced computer model has all the NFL betting tips and predictions you need to make the best NFL Week 3 picks now.

The model, which simulates each NFL play 10,000 times, has grown more than $7,000 for $100 players in the highest-rated NFL picks since its inception. The pattern enters Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season with an incredible 139-102 record in the NFL’s highest-rated picks dating back to the 2017 season.

The model has also ranked in NFLPickWatch’s top 10 four of the past six years for straight NFL picks and has beaten more than 94% of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who followed him is way up.

Top NFL Week 3 Predictions

One of the model’s strongest picks for NFL Week 3 has the Bengals (-4.5) going on the road and covering against the Jets. Only six teams had fewer sacks than the Jets last year and have the same statistical ranking in sacks this year. The lack of pressure on Joe Burrow should allow him to pick apart the Jets’ secondary, as New York is allowing opposing quarterbacks a passer rating of over 100 this season. Burrow is projected to surpass 300 yards passing and also throw multiple touchdown passes, with Ja’Marr Chase nearly 100 yards receiving.

The model doesn’t expect a Jets player to top 60 receiving yards. In fact, New York is losing by two scores, with the Bengals (-4.5) covering nearly 60 percent of the time.

Another of the NFL’s Week 3 model predictions: Seahawks (-2) close at home against Falcons. Geno Smith may not be the long-term answer at QB for the Seahawks, but he is the short-term solution. He went an astonishing 9-1 against the spread over his last 10 starts, with a 13:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio over that span. His completion percentage of 81% leads the NFL this season and is nearly 20 points higher than Marcus Mariota’s.

The model shows Smith playing a more efficient game than Mariota and the Seahawks, putting up over 130 yards on the ground with an average of over five yards per carry. With that, Seattle is projected to cover as a 2-point favorite in over 50 percent of simulations, with the Over (42) reaching over 50 percent of the time. See which other teams to pick here.
