Sports & Entertainment Spotlight: Snack Company Rap Snacks Lands In Hot Fat With Mattel Over Use Of ‘Barbie’ Name In Its Barbie-Que Honey Truffle Potato Chip Collaboration With Rapper Nicki Minaj | Foster Garvey PC

Welcome back to the Spotlight. It’s hard to believe that we’re past the middle of August and that football season and fall (my favorite) are right around the corner, but this is looking more and more like an attractive proposition with my Yankees swooning lately. Still, for now, off-field issues continue to matter. In the NFL, accused serial sex offender Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is likely to learn his final fate before an NFL-appointed arbitrator has a chance to weigh in. There is new talk in college football that the College Football Playoff (CFP) system will separate from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and become its own governing body for college football. And there will be obsessive studying of “sleeper” players and breakout performers on my couch for my fantasy football project. With any luck, I will be among the first chosen for your fantastic lawyering project that will take you to the Spotlight.

  • Apparel brand Nobull enters high-visibility sports marketing with its combined NFL sponsorship deal. Let’s hope the sponsorship works, otherwise Nobull could end up in the professional rodeo sponsorship realm, leading to some very confused and badly maimed rodeo clowns.
  • University of Nebraska Decoldest Crawford makes a great deal with (what else?) an HVAC company, pushing the perks of being the coldest.
