The Justice League gets a great redesign and a new list of new fans

The Justice League has never looked better than in a new fan art work by illustrator Gabriel Laragan, which gives the team a new look and composition.

IN League of Justice is late for conversion in more than one way. A fan art from a talented artist not only gives the team some killer new designs, but also an exciting lineup that can seriously change their game.

DC Comics’ largest assortment of characters has been defending their universe for years. From the moment they teamed up to defeat the Old Conqueror, heroes like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman used their combined power to defeat some really powerful enemies. And while the team had serious firepower, the membership was not exactly consistent. Members of the Justice League can vary depending on who is available or alive to add to its ranks. Over the years, the League has had some extremely different variations, such as international and Detroit incarnations, with each generation having its own unique list.

And a hypothetical lineup of illustrator Gabriel Laragan found some pretty unique makeup for the team and gave them some amazing redesigns. On of Gabriel Laragan On Twitter, the artist posted a message that read in part: “I play with my Justice League designs“. A series of photos accompanies the message showing Laragan’s reworked characters. The first is the Trinity of Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman. Amazon’s Diana rises above the busier Bruce and seemingly Let the kingdom come– Influenced Superman. The second photo includes Wally West Flash, Jessica Cruz’s Green Lantern, a very alien-looking Martian human hunter and the animal token Viksen. The latest vintage of Laragan’s characters is the Green Arrow with his classic beard, a remarkably shorter blue beetle, Zatana in her classic stage wizard costume and the always confident Booster Gold. As impressive as the lineup is, the artist promises more words. “however, I need to add a few more characters.

Even without any additional characters, users have already expressed their support for the band that this Justice League fan art represents. With over ten thousand likes, Larragán apparently hit the string among fans. It doesn’t hurt that the artist has become super creative with the design of the teams. But what really works with the hypothetical list is how well balanced it is.

The hard part about a good superhero lineup is finding the right combination of powers. DC Universe doesn’t have a shortage of characters capable of dealing with powerful villains on their own, but it’s not enough to just throw some strong characters together. Ideally, the characters chosen to be members of the Justice League should represent the great variety that is found in the DCU. Larragán’s cast does an excellent job of balancing magic, science fiction / aliens and street characters. This will not only give the team a variety of power, but will also make the reading much more engaging for the fans. I hope there is a League of Justice it resembles Gabriel Laragan’s fan art sometime in the future.
