“These pieces have intrinsic value because they are time capsules that call for a new era of divine human progress, but reconnecting the people of the planet with these powerful precious elements in a way that invites healing and harmony is our mission.”

If, as journalist Michael Roberts claimed in his 1992 article, Dahveed Nelson is the father of rap, then we can metaphorically say that soon after the birth of rap, Dahveed entered the cocoon of obscurity only to emerge nearly 50 years later. as late as the butterfly known as the Last Poet Gg4 – the great-grandfather of the universal connection.
Gg4 comes with gifts and is proud to present a collection of artwork titled “Precious Moments”. Precious Moments uses the ancient art of combining precious symbols with precious metals to create a precious impulse to shift us into higher consciousness. The collection opens with his poem “Black Woman”, rendered in silver.
“Silver is the frequency of peace. What better way to honor the mighty balancing power of the divine feminine than to cast in silver a dream of a beautiful world she calls forth?” says Dahveed Nelson Gg4.
The centerpiece of this tribute to black women is a limited edition of 52 silver stock cards with an engraved poem. Only 52 of these “art currency” cards were created to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the poem’s appearance in Right On!, the Last Poets movie. The Black Woman was the heart of the critically acclaimed film.
The cards are complemented by wearable art in the form of signed silver pendants with a ruby insert. Each pendant comes with a silver chain and a “Black Woman” poem printed on paper. Only 520 pendants exist.
The pieces are handcrafted by renowned craftsman Stephen Nkiru Richardson, who brings the precious concept of creating art using silver, gold and platinum and incorporating the Equity Card to produce art currency. Nkiru uses only the highest purity silver, 950 silver, harnessing the metaphysical healing properties of this precious metal.
“Silver brings beautiful change and can build a great foundation of wealth around you. And you can greatly enrich your life by accumulating precious metals like silver if you understand how to apply the formula,” says Nkiru.
Gg4 and Nkiru invite black men and all who wish to honor and celebrate black women to gift their beloved black women with these heirlooms that appreciate their value.
“These pieces have intrinsic value because they are time capsules that call forth a new era of divine human progress, but reconnecting the people of the planet with these powerful precious elements in a way that invites healing and harmony is our mission,” adds Dahvid Nelson Gg4.
The Precious Moments collection also consists of two prints of original artwork created with precious metals. The commemorative prints are available as paper cards with the poem and are hand signed by Gg4. There are 520 cards in this limited edition.
Gg4 and Nkiru chose “Black Woman” as the first poem for the collection because it connected a thread of inspiration between the two of them to honor the divine feminine.
All items in the collection are available at TheLastPoet.org while supplies last.
Gg4 is a transcendental being who has inspired higher consciousness, fueled emotional power, and fueled the emergence of new ways to use that power in the US and abroad. Fate touched him and he became “The Last Poet”, summoning a community of poets who even now continue to call for an end to the chaotic illusory reality that engulfs us and call for a new era of divine human progress.
Gg4 is well known for naming, conceptualizing and serving as an original artist with The Last Poets. For more information, visit TheLastPoet.org.
