A look at what’s going on at Cleveland State Athletics…

Men’s football
– Cleveland State will play its final non-league game on Tuesday, Oct. 25 when the Vikings travel to No. 22 Akron before hosting Wright State on Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 29.
– Tuesday’s contest against Akron will be the third top-25 game of the season for the Vikings and first on the road.
-Cleveland State tied Loyola 1-1 last time out, with Bojan Kolevski scoring the lone goal for the Green and White.

Women’s football
-Cleveland State will conclude regular-season play at home on Wednesday, October 26, hosting Purdue Fort Wayne in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
-Vikings need a win to clinch a spot in the #HLWSOC tournament, which is scheduled to begin with quarterfinal action on Sunday, Oct. 30.
-Final time Cleveland State scored two second-half goals to beat Robert Morris 2-1, with Catherine Ramicone and Grace Croskey scoring the goals.

Volleyball
– Cleveland State will have just one game this week, traveling to Oakland for a 4:00 pm contest on Saturday, October 29th.
-The Vikings will complete a three-game homestand when they face the Grizzlies.
-Cleveland State enters week fifth in the #HLVB standings with six games remaining in the regular season.

Running
-Cleveland State will be back in action at the 2022 #HLXC Championships this weekend with the 6K race set for Saturday, October 29th.
-This year’s league meet will be held at Oakland University’s cross country course, with the women’s race scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

Women’s basketball
-The Vikings will host their only exhibition of the 2022-23 campaign this week, welcoming Ursuline to the Wolstein Center for a 7:00 pm contest on Tuesday, October 25.
– Cleveland State will officially open the season on Monday, Nov. 7 when the Vikings travel to Iowa State.
-Earlier this month, the Vikings were picked to finish third in the #HLWBB Preseason Poll, with junior Destiny Leo named the #HLWBB Preseason Player of the Year.

Swimming and diving
-Cleveland State will return to the pool for the first time in two weeks at the two-day A-10 Challenge this weekend, with action taking place on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30.
-Saturday will be a double session at 11:00am and 6:00pm, while Sunday will be a single session at 9:00am.
– The Green and White will face Duquesne, George Mason, St. Bonaventure and Oakland.

Men’s tennis
-Cleveland State will continue its 2022 fall campaign at home this weekend, hosting the Viking Invitational from Friday, Oct. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 30.
-The Vikings last participated in the ITA Midwest Regional, with Maxime Mareschal-Hay and Mikael Erler both advancing to the second round of the main singles draw.

Tennis women
-The Vikings will be back in action at the Toledo Invitational this weekend, with the two-day tournament taking place on Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th.
-Cleveland State was last in action at the ITA Midwest Regional, with the duo of Oihane Vicario and Tereze Vevere advancing to the second round of the main doubles draw.

Scored Robert Morris’ winning goal, recording his second goal in as many games in 1978th minute.

Max Kasputis, Men’s Soccer
Recorded six saves in a 1-1 tie against Loyola, tying a career high with six shutouts.
